I want to be critical and truly review the Musical for all it is, as it isn’t perfect, we all know nothing is. But I cannot do that. The Greatest Showman has captured my heart and no words or images can do it the justice it deserves. And though it has flaws they can’t be seen for the magic.
The film held me (and everyone I know who has seen it) from start to finish. It relights the dreams you forgot you ever had because you have been pretending they didn’t exist for so long. It reminds you what it feels like to fall in love. It teaches you that you have a family in this cruel world even if you haven’t found yours yet. But not only that it redefines what is possible in a world that seems to be closing in on itself.
The Greatest Showman is 2 hours and 19 minutes where even unicorns and dragons can exist. As you are amongst music and showmanship that can make anything come alive.
This is a short and sweet blog post to recommend you to also go and experience the magic.
